I created this mermaid design in 2005 and it has been one of my most popular coastal decorating designs ever since. This is why the mermaid sculptures now have their very own page. When I first created the mermaid, I had no idea there were so many people who had such and interest and passion for this design concept/creation and it always interests me to find out
These coastal decor designs can be selected in various colors for the tails and the hair but the back and arms always remain a natural brown. This ensures that the mermaid hair and body have the proper contrast that make the piece really "pop" off the walls. I make the mermaid bodies/tail in a vintage blue, yellow, and green and offer silver, almond(blonde), and fire red for alternating hair colors. The only mermaid color combination that I don't recommend is the yellow body with the almond hair....she turns out with a very redundant contrast.
