Chase Allen created his first Iron Fish sculpture in 2002 when he was 25 years old.   He began creating limited series of coastal fish sculptures in late 2003 but did not begin to formally photograph and document his designs until 2006 which was essentially when The Iron Fish Gallery went online.

All iron fish sculptures pre-2006 were sold out of the studio on Daufuskie Island therefore the earlier designs(non-stamped hand signed by torch in the early years) have direct roots to customers whom have visited the popular Daufuskie Island landmark, The Iron Fish Gallery and Studio.  Yes, I guess you could say that those who stumbled upon Chase's earlier creations on remote Daufuskie Island in the beginning, "really lucked out".   Now, after nearly four years on the world wide web, you can find iron fish, mermaid, and crab sculptures in collectors homes all across the country and even the globe!

At 33 years old and after eight years of forging sheets of metal into timeless works of art, Chase promises all customers and collectors that the he will continue to create his famous hand- crafted, vintage-finished, iron fish sculptures for years to come.

All sculptures with "CALL FOR AVAILABILITY" listed beside them are not necessarily available.  All but a hand full of the 2009 retired fish sculptures have been sold.  The website is updated as often as possible but availability for "retired" sculptures can change on a daily basis.  These limited retired coastal decor relics are sold to online collectors as well as to collectors and customers who visit the Daufuskie Island Gallery.
