1. Keep it light.

The coastal decorated kitchen photographed below utilizes light colors with wood paneling for a great look.  The coastal accents look great, and I love the window letting all the wonderful light in.

Flounder Art In Coastal Kitchen

The flounder sculpture on the wall is handcrafted by Chase on Daufuskie Island, and is featured in his Permanent Collection of Iron Fish Sculptures, which you can see by clicking here.

Here is a closer view of this elegant flounder decoration.  If you look closely you can see the rustic finish that Chase’s work is famous for, having been featured in Coastal Living and Southern Living to name a few:

 2. Coordinate your accents.

It is important to try and coordinate the accents that you choose to decorate with.  In the beach house kitchen below, they have used a few well placed red accents to complement the crab sculpture featured over the stove.

Crab sculptures come ‘cooked’ (red), like the one seen above, or ‘uncooked’ (blue), and come in a variety of sizes.  See them all by clicking here.

3. Mix it up!

Finding unique decorations for your coastal kitchen will keep it interesting, and fun!  I love the variety used in the beachy kitchen photographed below, and that vintage red light hanging overhead looks great next to the lobster sculpture on the wall.  The green shelf complements the red accents against the white walls, and it all flows seamlessly.

Lobster sculptures are available in 3 sizes, 12″ x 21″, 17″ x 26″, and 24″ x 40″.  See them all by clicking here.
